Martin Charlton –
I bought my Winner Dave kayak around 5 years ago. I have used it mainly for exploring rivers and lakes here in my state of New South Wales. I've tested the kayak for fishing on occasions as well. The weight capacity of the kayak is 158 kilos, and I weigh in at 142 kilos. the kayak seems to handle the weight "problem" with aplomb, as only yesterday I tested my boat with a 38 amp hr battery and a small electric outboard. I was really impressed as the boat moved along at a little more than paddling pace, and I traveled around four kilometers, and still had plenty of battery power left. So there around an extra weight of around 35 kilo's and though I sat low in the water I had no trouble with stability or cruising speed. So if you bare looking for a fishing kayak that is worthb the price, nyou should take a close look at the Winner, Dave.
